This is really happening.
Best possible outcome, right there. Nobody said rust cataloging was an easy job.
HAHAHAHA. How long have you been planning this?
Kris this is the first time I left a comment on your site. I really love what you have done. I visit as much as I can. I have this bookmarked. I have also read your book on How to make a web comic and made my own web comic. This site is awesome.
Oh no! Peg-Leg Cutter!
What an arrrr-esting turn of events!
k maybe I'll let you handle the jokes from here on out
Nanoprobes and nerve endings are required for a peg leg? I would hope they would at least stick a foot on there. We can do foots _today._
EDIT: Not nerve-endingy ones, I mean, just regular foots (though I gather we're getting close). Still, if they have robots, and robot feets, and nerve ending probes, then logically the technology exists to do cybernetic feets. I guess it's a budgetary thing? Or maybe the peg is a modular connector, so you get the initial "nerve endings" attachment first and then switch it out for actual feets later. If you can afford one.
So, that answered my question…
Cutter has incurred a minor upswing in pirate reputation.
Maybe in a week or two we'll have a venge tear off Cutters hand, he gets a hook
A sign of how much you've made this reader care about your characters: I read your comment "this is real" before reading today's comic, and I thought "Damn, Kris has really killed Cutter?"
I see a Darth Vader thing coming on
Ha! Nervepeg. Very nice.
Agh! Oh no! Poor Cutter!
Cutter is taking this amazingly well. Maybe he figures he has one more place to hide flasks now.
Flasks? He can hide a whole flagon now.
"Zarde's warcruiser before he was court-martialed.*"
What's the asterisk for?
I like it when the punch line is in the first panel.

That sure is a lot of asteroids unusually close together.
Star Wars taught us that most of space is asteroids
I think its more parts of Earth not close together enough.
Uh-oh. Did somebody just pull an Alderaan on Earth?
You know if they want Cutter to get an artificial leg they should make him one with a keg and tap built in.
But how will Cutter avenge himself on the Venge who got his leg?
Maybe it was the great white alien Moby-Venge!
Maybe, he'll have to pursue it though hell itself!
(If he can even pursue it through a hangover.)
I always thought Cutter would lose his leg in a crazy two man luge accident.
