I couldn't join for the live feed and I was grateful for the recording.
Kris, I have been reading Starslip since Tycho linked it as his favorite comic, and it quickly became one of mine. I own all your books and when I can afford to I will buy the final one.
Starslip has been wonderful and I am sad for it to end. Vanderbeam is easily one of my favorite characters in any story. The strip itself is perfection; well-portioned humor with a compelling story and interesting characters. The art has always been the jewel in the crown, and your ability to evoke emotion with a silhouette, even in your fictional, comical universe, is striking.
You pledged some time ago to be the hardest-working artist in the industry, and your hard work is obvious. Thank you for everything you do, and while I look forward to your next project, I look even more forward to visiting this space thirteen years from now (in whatever internet equivalent we'll have invented by then).
Thanks for everything Kris. I think it's great that you interact with your fans this way to really bring everything together. It's a lot better than the typical "permanent hiatus" crap that most people do when they end a comic.
I'm one of those leaching fans who read everything online and didn't buy any books, but I am really going to buy all 5 of them now. Will you have a total package for sale or should I just buy what I can now? Thanks Kris
Amazing. 7 years, of the best sci-fi comic ever. All good things must come to an end. Shame the end couldn't have waited another 7 years. But Kris, thank you for all you've done. For reals.
Starslip has been the only comic I've read with any consistency for the last five years or so. You made a really good story. Thanks for sharing that world with me. I'll miss it, but I look forward to seeing what your new thing is.
I think more than anything, I appreciate your consistency. I can name on probably only one hand the number of web comic makers who always had a strip ready on the days they said they would. I'm really grateful you love your work as much as (and honestly more than) I do.

Thanks for recording this! Can't wait to buy new books at PAX.
I cried a river.

I just watch it.
